The local riding association will be hosting a nomination meeting at 7pm on March 28th at Monument-Lefebvre in Memramcook. David Coon, MLA for Fredericton South and Leader of the Green Party of NB, will be in attendance.
Ms. Mitton grew up in Sackville, NB and graduated from Tantramar Regional High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at McGill University in Montreal, QC, where she studied international development, political science, and women’s studies. After several years away, Ms. Mitton and her husband, Steve Geier, who is also from Sackville, returned to New Brunswick. By implementing Green Party of NB policies and programs that support small businesses, farmers, and entrepreneurs, young families like hers will be drawn back home to live in our province. Her dedication to addressing the gaps in our health care system and building resilient communities has led her to seek the nomination to be the Green Party candidate in the upcoming provincial election on September 24, 2018.
The nomination meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to come meet Megan Mitton, MLA David Coon, and learn more about the Green Party of New Brunswick.
